  1. Phelgaum village 2 is a masterpiece!!! If I had the money I would bid for it, hope this website brings you glory……..you keep posting, will spread the word!

    • God Bless you Doc!!! Just so that everyone knows why I say this. I have always admired both Elio as a person and Elio as an artist. His simplicity speaks through his work. The above message was posted by me in August 2014. I met Elio the following year when he was in Goa. He is one of my dear customers at the travel agency I run in Vagator. During the course of the conversation he reiterated that he would allow me to display one of his paintings at my office. It was supposed to be kinda “lent” to me and I was supposed to return it whenever he asked. I was thrilled by the idea. I promised I would frame the canvas myself and display it proudly. Come December, just before Christmas, Elio visited me with a very carefully packaged painting. He said it was one from his collection and I could open it later. I was very happy. I immediately repeated my end of the bargain. Told him I would sort out the framing as soon as possible and display it, and went on to add, “anytime you want it back, just tell me and I will return it, framing and all”. What he said, brought me to tears, “No Joe, this is for you. Its a present from me”. Imagine my even greater disbelief later when I opened it. I am the very proud owner of none other than “Phelgaum village 2 2012 (3) Acrylic on paper 70 x 50 cm”, featured above. It is a part of the series on Kashmir. Words cannot suffice to express my admiration for you Doc!!!

  2. Goa 2015…interesting…. you have something new in addition to the ‘elio’ flair… that dimension on the buildings…. a cubist influence??? (now Im putting myself out there!!!!). anyhow, I like it, its you but its something extra…. curiouser and curiouser.

  3. hi dear Elio – some friends of mine are coming to Goa in the next 10 days or so – are you there? are they able to pop in and see you? and if so, how would they find you ??
Your recent pictures are wonderful. I very much hope that all is well with you & with your family.
We are still in NZ and love being here. Happy Christmas from Alice
